On Monday night Tim, James, Lucy, Lou, Katie, Hannah and Sarah were off to represent Open at the IOF Awards, where the sector’s best and brightest celebrated another year of incredible fundraising.
From innovation to integration, fundraisers got the chance to celebrate all of the amazing work they’ve done to change the world over the past twelve months.
The highlight of the night was Greenpeace UK and Open taking to the stage to claim Fundraising Campaign of the Year for the Rang-Tan Palm Oil Campaign.
Together with Open and London-based agency Mother, Greenpeace UK has made the devastating effects of the palm oil industry part of every household’s dinner table conversation. See the incredibly powerful advert below.
This award is such a big honour, recognising months of hard work creating and sharing an amazing story, and activating this in a number of channels to drive campaign actions and donations, in the hundreds of thousands.
Open worked with Greenpeace UK and Mother to create this powerful campaign.
We’re also so proud of this year’s Fundraiser of the Year, Suzie Rees! As an event sponsor for this award, Open’s Managing Director Lucy Edwards was on stage to announce the prestigious award:
“This award is a huge recognition of Suzie’s work with East African Playgrounds, and we’re so proud to recognise the work of smaller charities and the fundraisers that help them in so many amazing ways.”
What an amazing evening at the IOF Awards – we can’t wait for IOF 2020! Check out the @LifeAtOpen Instagram Moments for a wrap up of the evening.
