Back in October, Liz wrote about Emma, a friend of a friend who is battling a rare and aggressive form of cancer. Her chance of recovery lies with immunotherapy, a treatment not yet available on the NHS, costing a gigantic £114,000 a year.
Emma’s story was shared far and wide and, thankfully, she reached her fundraising target in just 24 hours.
Today, she got in touch with some fantastic news.
Emma’s email was an important reminder of the impact heartfelt feedback to supporters has in our work. And it was a lovely way to kick-start our first day back. Here’s wishing Emma the very best for her ongoing treatment, and here’s hoping that 2017 continues in the same positive spirit.
